Nanhai will spend 30 million yuan per year to support industrial design

On August 21, 2018 Lkker SCM (namely Supply Chain Management) Conference was held in Nanhai, Foshan, which is also the first conference of supply chain management after Lkker entered Nanhai. As the leading platform for industrial design in China, 2018 Lkker SCM Conference revolved around manufacturing companies in South China, attracting more than 600 companies to send representatives, a considerable part of which come from Foshan. In the future, Nanhai will spend 30 million yuan per year to support industrial design of local companies.

At the conference, supply chain demand projects of 20 new kinds of products were collectively unveiled, covering medical cabins, surgical puncture equipment, camera with face recognition, etc. The demands include mold development, glass and aluminum technics, ODM network technology, etc. Many of them are the latest project development and supply chain content introduced by South China R&D and Supply Chain Center of Lkker, which meets the needs of Nanhai enterprises. In the meanwhile, five Foshan enterprises made strategic cooperation with Foshan Lkker Urban Design Center.

At the end of April this year, Foshan Lkker Urban Design Center and South China R&D and Supply Chain Center of Lkker settled in Nanhai and officially opened to support industrial design benchmarking enterprises in Nanhai. At present, it has cooperated with more than 100 enterprises in Foshan, introduced 50 product models and linked with over 300 Foshan suppliers.

In order to encourage enterprises to upgrade local industrial design and create industrial design benchmarking enterprises, Nanhai recently issued relevant policies, which will allocate 30 million yuan of special support funds each year to promote Nanhai enterprises to accelerate the innovation of industrial design. Enterprises, research institutes, industry associations, etc. purchasing industrial design services can be subsidized up to 1 million yuan per year; enterprises receiving relevant industrial design awards can get a maximum bonus of 500 thousand yuan each year; as for industrial design service platforms stationed in Nanhai, the highest reward is 5 million yuan each year.

It deserves to be mentioned that this policy encourages enterprises to be on a first-come, first-served basis so that the enthusiasm of cooperation between enterprises and industrial design platforms can be enhanced and more high-quality resources to develop and expand Nanhai enterprises can be gathered.
